Anti-Ageing Injections

And over time those expressions leave their mark on your face making you look older, tired and stressed. But now there’s cosmetic injections. A simple, non-surgical procedure that can dramatically reduce even your toughest wrinkle within days. So it’s really up to you. You can choose to live with wrinkles or you can choose to live without them.

Unfortunately, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) restricts us from naming our Botulinum Toxin product of choice but rest assured, at Esteem we use only the best. Our product of choice is incredibly safe. It has been approved for Cosmetic use by both the US FDA and the TGA here in Australia. It has been widely tested with over 15 years of safe and effective use in hundreds of thousands of patients world wide for various medical uses.

Botulinum Toxin is a natural, purified protein that relaxes wrinkle causing muscles, creating a smoothed, rejuvenated and more youthful appearance. It’s a simple non-surgical procedure that smoothes deep, persistent facial lines that develop over time. One ten minute treatment – a few tiny injections – relaxes the muscles that cause those lines to form and keeps them relaxed for up to 4 months. The results are often quite dramatic and apparent within days.

There is little to be seen after the injection. Usually, just a fine pinprick of a needle may be apparent or nothing at all may be seen. It is possible however to get a bruise. In the first 48-72 hours after injection, no effect is seen. However, at about day 3 the product will start to work and one will notice that using those muscles requires an increasing effort.

The peak effect is usually seen at about two weeks. Duration of effect varies from person to person but three to six months is a common duration. There is a theory that repeated injection of the muscles over a two year period to keep them weak will lead to their total inactivity. At this stage, this is just a theory and has not been scientifically proven. Cosmetic injections work on specific areas treated so other muscles like those used to raise the eyebrows are not affected, which means a natural expression is maintained.

It will not "freeze" your facial expressions, it will soften them and works where you want it to. Allergic reactions to Botulinum Toxin are extremely rare, and "immunity" to the Toxin has not been reported. At Esteem, we prefer to use higher concentrations to obtain a better and longer lasting correction. Naturally, higher concentrations are more expensive but the improvement is also greater.
